Patrick Davitt, F.I.P.A.V., Commissioner for Oaths
Founder
Pat Davitt founded Davitt & Davitt Auctioneers in Castlepollard in 1980, now trading as Sherry FitzGerald Davitt & Davitt. With over four decades in the industry, Pat has been the CEO of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers (IPAV) since 2013, representing 1,100 members nationwide. His extensive involvement in regulatory and valuation bodies, including the Property Services Regulatory Board (PSRA) and The European Group of Valuers Associations (TEGoVA), has positioned him as a key figure in Irish and European property services. A Commissioner for Oaths, Pat is committed to driving professional standards and innovation in the industry.

Aidan Davitt, M.I.P.A.V, MMCEP
Managing Director
Aidan joined the family business after earning qualifications in Estate Agency and Auctioneering. A director since 2000, Aidan oversees the company’s operations, managing a team of 14 professionals. Actively involved in the local community, he has served as a Town & County Councillor since 2009.

Gary Corroon, M.I.P.A.V, MMCEP
Sales Manager, Director and Partner
Gary has been with Sherry FitzGerald Davitt & Davitt since 2000 and is responsible for leading many of the company’s new developments and second-hand residential sales. With a wealth of experience and several diplomas in Estate Agency, Business Management, and more, Gary’s dedication to customer satisfaction earned him the Sherry FitzGerald WOW award in 2014.

Alan Bracken, M.I.P.A.V, MMCEP
Commercial Manager, Director and Partner
Alan studied Estate Agency and Auctioneering at Athlone Institute of Technology. He went on to receive a Diploma and Membership to the Institute of Professional Auctioneers (IPAV). Alan has been a part of the Sherry FitzGerald Davitt & Davitt team since 2004 as a Residential and Commercial Valuer in the valuations department. He also deals with commercial and residential sales & lettings. As a native of Mullingar, Alan has an extensive local knowledge of Westmeath & surrounding areas.
